LOCAL MEDIA AND SPORTS CELEBRITIES ROLL UP THEIR SLEEVES FOR VARIETY’S KIDS AT ‘CELEBRITY BAGGER DAY’ AT SAFEWAY AND SOBEYS
WINNIPEG, MANITOBA – Local media and sports celebrities will roll up their sleeves to bag your groceries on Tuesday April 4th on Safeway and Sobeys Customer Appreciation Day from 4:30pm to 6:30pm at the Safeway (499 River Ave) and Sobeys (50 Sage Creek Blvd) locations in support of Variety kids.
Customers are invited to make a minimum $3 donation at the check stand to make a difference in the lives of children in Manitoba who have special needs. For their donation customers will receive the 2017 Variety Gold Heart Smurfs Pin, the two piece set is also available for $5.00 (Papa and Smurfette). Customers will also have the opportunity to meet and talk with some of their favorite local media and sports celebrities and Variety kids.
Sobeys Inc. is a Leading Provincial Partner with Variety, the Children’s Charity of Manitoba and supports Variety’s mission and mandate, and will be selling the 2017 Variety Smurfs Gold Heart pins for the full month of April at all Safeway and Sobeys locations across Manitoba in conjunction with Variety’s annual Gold Heart Pin Campaign.
Variety, the Children’s Charity of Manitoba’s mission is to step in where health care funding ends to provide direct assistance, and empower and improve the quality of life for children in Manitoba who have a disability and/or who are impacted by socio-economic issues.
