Diagnosis: Living with Transverse Myelitis
Theo cannot walk on his own, he is unable to stand without support and he has an inclusion worker at daycare who supports him in many activities. Theo was born healthy but at 8 months of age developed sudden onset paralysis of the lower limbs. It was proposed it was caused by a viral infection. The doctors recommended intensive physiotherapy to help him gain the strength back in his legs and
muscles. His family is a one income household and the cost of weekly therapy sessions is too much for them.
