Request: Speech Therapy
Arlan was diagnosed with autism shortly after his 3rd birthday. He is now 5 years old and still having challenges. He struggles to use words to communicate and does not have the ability to perform small daily tasks like putting on a hat and eating.
Arlan was able to access some therapies from the government funded programs, but the therapists mostly saw him once a month or less depending on their case load. Arlan recently turned 5 years old and is now ineligible for any early intervention programs.
His family immigrated to Canada a few years ago and finances are tight so they cannot afford the cost of private therapies.
Arlan needs access to speech therapy and occupational therapy to help support his development.
