25 May Variety’s iCan Bike Camp
Congratulations to all 80 of our riders on completing their week of learning how to ride a 2-wheel bike last month! We hope all the kids enjoy the rest of their summer riding their bikes and practising their new skills with friends and family.

iCan Bike camp teaches children ages 8 and up living with a disability (autism, developmental delays, Down Syndrome and Cerebral Palsy) how to ride a 2-wheel bike independently. Over the course of camp riders transition from specialized equipment to a 2-wheel coaster bike as they learn the skills needed to balance and steer a bike on their own. Over the course of the camp, 80 individuals will learn the amazing skill of independently riding a bike.
When: From July 3rd – 7th and July 10th – 14th, 2023,

Rider Information:
When: Week 1, July 3rd-7th, 2023 and Week 2, July 10th-14th, 2023
Location: Transcona East End Arena – 517 Pandora Ave East
What is Bike Camp: The program teaches individuals living with disabilities to ride a conventional two-wheel bicycle using adapted bike equipment.
Rider Participants must be:
- At least 8 years old
- Have a disability
- Walk without an assisted device
- Able to side step to both sides
- Able to wear a bike helmet
- Not exceed 220 lbs
